Just a quick “Thank You” for joining us for the first “Glow Irish” One Miler.
I believe we accomplished our overall goal of showing everyone a good time.
For prizes, we gave away a “pot of gold” (a black pot filled with $1 coins)
to the top male and top female winners. John Tessling won it for the men with
a time of 5:15. Nicole Gruszka won it for the women with a time of 6:30. Most
of us are not used to sprinting a mile, so this is quite an achievement.
Along with the fast times, I really enjoyed seeing families out there enjoying themselves.
Hopefully, the crowds that were gathering before the parade made this a memorable
event. You also helped Girl Scout Troop #35133 sell another 18 boxes of cookies!
