Today, in our Run LIke a Mother 5K Spotlight, we are spotlighting a local pediatrician, a fellow runner and a Hometown Hero, Dr. Lisa Gold. We asked Dr. Gold about her practice, what philosophy she follows, and her favorite part about what she does.
Q: What got you interested in pediatrics and why did you start your practice?
A: I knew I wanted to be a pediatrician in medical school. I love kids. I love taking care of them. FPN Crown Point Pediatric Health Center was first known as North Point Pediatrics, which was started in 1996. I was one of the original pediatricians when the practice was formed.
Q: What services do you offer at FPN Crown Point Pediatric Health Center? 
A: All general pediatric services from birth to graduation from high school. We see children for general health check and for the multiple physical and psychological illnesses children can suffer from.
Q: What is your mission statement or philosophy when working with patients?
A: To provide pediatric healthcare addressing the physical, mental and social aspects of patients from newborns to adolescent ages. I strive to develop a caring relationship with my patients and their parents and families.
Q: What is your favorite part of what you do?
A: Since I have been in practice over twenty years I most enjoy when the patients I have known as little boys and girls grow up and I can see them as parents with their own children! I feel like I’m 
part of the family.

Dr. Gold has been an “AWESOME” pediatrician to my daughters boys, Bryce, Evan and Luke Plessinger since they were very small! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Dr.Gold when I’ve had to take one of the boys there on occasion. She is wonderful with the children and very thorough. She is the best and if anybody ask me if I know of a pediatrician I always mention her name!💜💜
